You've spent years becoming exceptionally good at what medicine asks of you. You run at precision, at capacity, at pace. Six weeks to clarify what needs to change and begin changing it from the inside out.
You don’t have to leave medicine to see more clearly what you may want to change within it.
Medicine may not have created the pattern. But it can powerfully reward, normalise and reinforce it.
Some of the qualities that helped make you a good doctor may have been with you long before medical school.
The drive to achieve. The instinct to be useful. The capacity to carry responsibility. The need to get things right. The ability to keep going when things are difficult.
Some may even be part of what drew you towards medicine in the first place.
And then you entered a profession where many of those qualities are valued, rewarded and reinforced.
None of that makes your capability the problem.
The problem is when capability stops being a choice.
The Insourcing Method™ helps you recognise the deeper patterns influencing how you respond, particularly those that have become so automatic they can operate before you’ve consciously decided what you actually want.
This isn’t about trying harder, adding another self-care strategy or thinking your way into a better response.
We work with those patterns at a deeper subconscious and mind-body level, creating more room for conscious choice.
So you can remain extraordinarily capable when capability is required, without living as though you’re always about to be needed.
Respond when response is required. Return when it isn’t.
This is The UNpatient™ Way: no longer waiting for external permission to take your own experience seriously, and turning some of that considerable capacity for observation back towards yourself.
Get clear on what you don’t want to keep repeating and begin recognising the patterns, responses and overrides that may be operating automatically.
Clarify what matters to you and notice where automatic patterns may be overriding what you consciously want.
Begin working with the deeper patterns and responses that insight, willpower and another list of “shoulds” haven’t necessarily changed.
Continue the deeper subconscious and mind-body work, so capability can become something you use when it’s needed rather than something that runs automatically.
Integrate what you’ve recognised into your own language, values and internal authority, including your personalised Mini-Mission Statement.
Turn what you’ve recognised into a practical plan for noticing the pattern earlier and choosing what you want to do when familiar circumstances return.
75 minutes each, scheduled across six weeks at a pace that works around your clinical commitments
NTT™ and timeline-based processes used where appropriate to work with patterns and responses beneath conscious insight.
Your patterns, insights, decisions and practical anchors brought together in a framework you can continue to use.
Week 6 TRA consultation with Jeffrey Liu - integrated psychological and financial strategy, together
If, by the end of six weeks, you haven’t identified the primary pattern behind the recurring response you came to change and put one agreed change into practice, I’ll refund your program investment in full.
I’m not promising that your whole life will be different in six weeks. I’m promising that we’ll get clear on what you’re actually working with and begin putting that clarity into practice.
“I have not yet even finished my sessions but in just a few sessions I have clarified my values and felt so much more confident and lighter within myself.”
What strikes me most is that you are a psychiatrist. You spend your days holding the complexity of other women’s and men’s inner worlds with extraordinary precision - and you still found yourself in that gap between how you appear and how you actually feel inside.
That is not a failure of knowledge. Some of the very patterns that may have helped you succeed can become powerfully reinforced within medicine, until they begin operating automatically rather than by choice.
Watching you move from that gap into the lightness you’re describing - that is exactly why I made the pivot I have done to choosing to work only with female physicians. Women who have an established chosen career path who have decided they are worth doing that inner work that medicine often does not leave time for…
And there is still more for us to explore together.
Dr Jen
A private 3-week intensive for overseas-trained doctors navigating the Australian registration, employment, and training system.
The Australian medical system is not complicated because you lack intelligence or experience. It is complicated because it is several overlapping systems - registration, employment, supervision, Medicare, training pathways, and visa requirements - and there is no single map showing which step actually comes first.
After nearly 30 years in Australian general practice, including as a practice owner, and having previously worked with and supported overseas-trained doctors entering the Australian system, Dr Jen offers something different from a migration agent, a training organisation, or a recruiter: a clear map, from someone who has spent decades inside the system and comprehends the questions that need to be asked.
Bring together your qualifications, registration history, clinical experience, AHPRA correspondence, AMC status, and visa status. Map where you actually stand and identify what still needs confirmation from the relevant authorities. You leave with your first written pathway map.
Turn your attention to employment - which positions are worth pursuing and which are not. Review your CV, build a clear professional story, and identify appropriate supervised positions, Area of Need opportunities, or approved training pathways.
Prepare you to move through the pathway with confidence. Review employer responses, prepare for conversations, clarify the next regulatory or training steps. You finish with a written 90-day implementation plan: who to contact, what to ask, what to complete, and what not to spend money on yet.
This is a non-clinical career navigation and advocacy service. Dr Jen is a former Australian GP and is not currently practising as a registered medical practitioner. She cannot guarantee registration, Medicare eligibility, a visa, or employment.
I trained and practised as a GP for nearly three decades. I was a practice owner. I mentored colleagues. I held the complexity of my patients’ lives with precision. At the same time, I knew from my own life what it was to carry responsibility well beyond the consulting room, to put myself last, and rarely stop to ask whether the way I was doing it was actually sustainable.
It was only after I left medicine that I had enough space to turn some of the same curiosity, observation and analytical rigour I had brought to my work back towards myself. I began to recognise patterns I simply couldn't see while I was inside them. That exploration eventually became The Insourcing Method™.
Leaving medicine was part of my story. It doesn't have to be yours.
I now work with established women physicians who are still highly capable, but have begun to recognise that they don't want to keep doing things in quite the same way. Not crisis management. Not strategies that skim the surface. The actual reorganisation of the patterns that medicine reinforced - so that the next twenty years in practice look different from the last twenty.
I am based on the Mid North Coast of Australia. I work privately and remotely, one to one. Every expression of interest is reviewed personally.
The Doctor’s Complete Guide to Protecting Your Mind, Your Income and Your Future
There are two forces quietly costing Australian doctors immeasurably. The first is the psychological architecture that medical training reinforces - a very specific, very sophisticated form of trained suppression. The second is a financial structure designed for average Australians, not high-income professionals with complex, variable careers. They are deeply interconnected. Treating them separately misses the fundamental architecture of the problem.
This is the book I co-authored with financial strategist Jeffrey Liu of Hippo Wealth. Part One is mine: the internal architecture, the psychological risk patterns medical training reinforces, and The Insourcing Method™ - the framework I built because I needed it first. My own experience is woven into these pages, not as a cautionary tale, but as lived evidence of why this work matters.
Part Two is Jeffrey’s: the 3E Wealth Program and the financial protection structure that moves high-earning doctors from entrapment to genuine financial freedom. Part Three brings both architectures together - because you cannot have one without the other.
It is free. It is written from the inside. And it addresses what medical training never told you it was costing you.
